Counselling is Confidential

Do you offer both in-person and telehealth counselling?

Yes, I offer both in-person and telehealth counselling session for both individual and couples counselling.

You can select the option that works best for you when booking your appointment.

Do I need a referral?

No. I accept self-referrals as well as referrals from other healthcare professionals.

How long are session?

Individual sessions run for 50-60 mins. 

Couples sessions run for 75-85 mins.

Do I need a Mental Health Care Plan?

No. Currently Medicare does not provide any rebate for counselling services provided by a registered counsellor so a Mental Health Care Plan is not necessary.

How do I pay for the session?

50% of the fee is required at the time of booking. The following 50% of the fee is required at the end of the session. Cash or card is accepted.

Fees

Individual sessions are $150.

Couples sessions are $210.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation fees charged are: 

             1. Reschedule before 72 hours of appointment time: No charge
             2. Reschedule or cancellation within 72 hours of appointment time: Non-refundable 50% of fee taken at                       the time of booking
             3. Reschedule or cancellation within 48-24 hours of appointment notice: Full fee
             4. Missed appointments/no shows: Full fee
As a courtesy to you, we send out an email 7 days before the appointment time and an SMS reminder 4 days before the appointment time. 
EMJ Counselling reserves the right to reschedule appointments at any time, without compensation, if it is deemed necessary due to staff illness or other unforeseen circumstances.
If  reschedules become a regular occurrence, clients will be encouraged to reassess whether therapy is something they want to continue with at this time.
